Momma loves to sew…

My name is Jessica Robertson and sewing is my art.   My family has inspired my creations to leap to a whole new level.  I use materials that are either recycled from thrifty shopping methods, donated from community members personal closets, and–if boughten new–from eco-minded businesses.  My objective is to offer affordable, creative, and sustainable goods to the world for a few reasons:  I don’t believe that reducing our carbon footprint requires smashing the piggy bank, and I want to offer the opportunity for consumers to participate in purchasing goods made from recycled materials–buying recycled goods goes far beyond just the bottle and the can!!

Thank you for visiting a WAHM shop!  As a Work-At-Home-Mom, I can contribute to the household income as well as be available to my family.  Your thoughtful consideration of these products means a lot to me.   Today’s world of cheaply made, not-so-unique products has made gift giving and purchasing personal consumer items a hum-drum experience.  At POOKINOO, you’ll find just the opposite: many uniquely made products that you won’t be able to find in any other retail shop, because each item is made OOAK (one-of-a-kind).  That’s the glory of a homemade treasure.  And you know that your hard earned money is going directly to a mother in California, who chooses economical and environmentally sustainable materials in her work.  So take your time browsing this shop and thanks for your visit!

WHAT IS A POOKINOO? well… once, when averie was just a tiny star, his poppa was calling out little nicknames to him and pookinoo was one of them.  It’s so whimsical that it became the name of my shop
